Motherboard sensor

I need some help trying to figure out some of the sensor on my Mobo.

I've got an MSI K7N2 Delta-L and using MBM I get 3 temperature readings and 3 fan rpm readings.

The problem is I don't know what temp winbond 3 is reporting... winbond 1 is my case and winbond 2 is my cpu. I've changed my case configuration several times, stoped a fan here, hooked up a fan there. But no matter what I do winbond 1 and 3 are always very close to each other. Something like 1-2C difference.

Does anyone know where the sensors are exactly on this board??? Tried looking on the board, but I'm afraid I don't know what the sensors look like... :~

And what's even more strange is that MBM reports that I have 3 fan sensors when on my mobo there are
only 2. So does this mean I can add a fan connector to my mobo?

thanks again in advance.

Hmm... Does the OCZ PowerStream 520W have such a fan connector for its fans? I'd like to attach a sensor to it (currently my PSU Fan sensor is not being used).

And to answer your question, amoun... sorta... I also have a sensor of which I don't know what it represents. I'm guessing it's the ambient temperature, but it's rather low for that (around 15 degrees C). I know the other two sensors on my motherboard are for CPU and MB, because I verified that with Asus Probe, the BIOS and Lavalys EVEREST Home Edition. However, the BIOS does not report that 15 degrees C, so I can't verify this sensor. ;\

Navid:
okay so I tried Everest, Sandra, Speedfan and PC alert 4. All report the same temps for my case and my CPU.

I know it's an HD cause I tried using Speedfan to detect the temps of my 2 Western Digital HDs. But when I looked at the properties of my HDs in the program, temperature monitoring wasn't supported. I also checked on the website and confrim this, my HDs aren't on the given list.

My mobo only has 2 fan headers, one for my CPU and one for a case fan. And that's what's strange!!! MBM detects a third fan sensor, but try as I might, I can't find a third header on my mobo. And I'm wondering if it's possible that I could add one, assuming it's not too complicated.

When using Sandra I did notice a difference with MBM for my third temp sensor, winbond 3. Sandra reported the temp as 10C, close to your 15C... Now I'm even more curious to know what where winbond 3 is on the board and where it get's that temp from??

But also like you my bios doesn't mention the third temp sensor.

Does anyone have an idea of what winbond 3 does on K7N2 boards??
