Most cases come with the brass motherboard risers that you use to connect the motherboard to the case. Sometimes they also come with little plastic washers that it seems like are supposes to be used between the riser and motherboard and the motherboard and screw. Does anyone know what these washers are for exactly and if you even need them???

I've never used them and have never had a problem. They are probably there so you don't over tighten the screws and crack the mobo. Just count the risers and take out the ones you won't need or the mobo will short out on them.

The washers are supposed to be between the screw and motherboard. They are there to protect the board. Use them!
