motherboard repair?

I am simply wondering how easy it is to repair/refurbish a motherboard. It is an Abit KA7 (kx 133) board and it has some electrical problems. It does boot, but only after a bit of pampering and whatnot. If at all possible I'd like to be able to toss it in another box or maybe sell it. It's a decent board, and I hate to just throw it away.
