I didn't realize this post got posted... I was working on it but changed my mind. My apologies.

Coincidentally, I'm looking for a similar board myself right now. I almost went with the A8NVM-CSM until I discovered it's a micro-ATX board and only has two PCI slots. 🙁 Other than that, it would be the board for me.

I've found what look to be several good alternatives though. Here's my current short list:

Abit AN8 Ultra
Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 Ultra
Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS

All are Socket 939 and support AMD64 X2, PCI-E, SATA, RAID, Gigabit LAN, and FireWire (and the Gigabyte board even has FireWire 800). All use the nForce4 Ultra chipset  and the Abit and Gigabyte boards have passively-cooled northbridges. 😎 And they all have at least 3 PCI slots. All have 3-year warranties and can be had for anywhere from about $80 to $120 (give or take).

I haven't researched each yet; after looking at every currently available board from every mobo mfgr, these are the three that have the features I need/want -- on paper. This is as far as I've gotten. (One thing I need to look for next is whether any of 'em support AMD Cool 'n Quiet.)

Good luck.
