I need some advice on a motherboard selection.

I intend to build a system with an AMD XP1800, Win98SE, 512m PC2100, SBLiveValue, Geforce4 Ti4200, and a single hard drive. I already have everything but the motherboard and processor.

The Epox 8k3a+ sounds good, but I don't need RAID. Can you recommend a motherboard for this system? I'd like to have the Via KT133 I think.

While you're at it, I'll need a decent CD burner also. Nothing fancy, I burn very few music CDs. I'll occasionally use it for data transfers.

Thanks, oh mighty experts of Anandtech.

One more thing - I'd like to overclock a bit. The Asus A7A266 I have now limits me to FSB overclocking only, I'd like to be able to change the multiplier.

for a burner, i would recommend a lite-on. they offer great performance at a low price.

The Shuttle AK35GT2 is a good straighforward kt333 board that only sets you back $70 Review. A good cheap CDRW is the Cyberdrive 32x-12x-48x. Review. It sells for $53.

Prices: Newegg.com

Also consider Abit mobos if you plan to overclock alot. They have alot of options for voltage and multiplyer locks etc. A bit pricy considering Epox and Shuttle prices but they have more features.
