Can any one recommend a decent motherboard that will support an Intel Core i4790k processor and also has support for NVidia SLI, namely looking at SLIing 980 TI's. Looking at getting one now and one at a later date when needed.

I am not into overclocking so doesn't really need any overclocking features.

Cheers

I would take a look at the total number of PCI-E x16 slots are available, but I would guess that an ASUS Z97 Pro/Deluxe or similar might fill the bill. That would provide all the options for good over-clocking, also with better power regulation features.

You could also bet on the Z97-A; it should be roughly the value and feature-set of earlier-gen chipsets in a rank-order. Look for something closer to a 6- or 8-phase power design. I would think they could be good moderate-budget choices, if there's to be "nuthin' fancy."

There are also some good MSI Gaming boards -- I thought I saw a few rave reviews. Since I'm impressed so far with their NVidia-line of 970/980 GTX boards, and I've read only a few things, maybe looked at the offering at the Egg.
