This is my current selection to what I am going to order. I am not going to 64bit because the price of the chips is still quite high compared to the 754 Semprons. Any suggestions as a better alternative to the ASUS board I have selected below?

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3120026A 160GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra $90.00

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 $80.00

AMD Sempron 2800+ Palermo 800MHz FSB Socket 754 Processor Model $84.00

SAPPHIRE RADEON 9800PRO 128 R Radeon 9800PRO 128MB DDR AGP $138.00

ASUS K8N Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $85.00

the DFI is an overclockers dream and is rock stable from the reviews i read. I guess with the asus you get what you pay for, but if you have the extra 20 bucks go with the DFI by any means.
