I am slowly building a new desktop with deals I find, but it has come down to where I need to pick a motherboard and a video card.

I have a Antec P180B, C2D E8400, and TT 700W ToughPower PSU...

I do not do much gaming at all, but I always get at least a decent video card in case there is something I come across (Spore is coming soon)... I do not however, want to invest in a SLI system...

All my drives (optical/hard disks) are SATA (4 Total)... and overclocking is not that important to me... It seems like the Gigabyte DS3L would suit me good, but does anyone have anymore recommendations?

No reason to spend $160 on a motherboard for what you're doing. If you're not overclocking the P43 chipset really should be just fine for you and it's less expensive than P45.

Can't you get a p43 for under a hundy these days? I know you can go the p35 route and save a good amount of cash that way.

I would recommend any of the ASUS P5 boards with eaither the P35 or P45 chipset.

Seeing how your not interested in dual VC or heavy gaming, the P35 would do well.

I have had the best experience with ASUS boards over the years.

I have had this one and it was great P5K Pro

This Gigabyte would be good too GA-EP35-DS3L

If you decided to go ahead and get the latest chipset from Intel (P45) I would recommend this board P5Q SE

I've got an ep35-ds3l (for sale) as the above poster linked to. I've used it in a build previously and they work great. easy to set up. I recommend it.
