motherboard/reboot issue

I recently installed a new motherboard, and now my computer reboots after checking for IDE drives and flashing the Windows Icon for a split second. Per recent suggestions from the forum, I tried diconnecting all devices except the floppy, HD, and Video Card; reseating the processor; taking out extra memory. Still the same problem persists. Could there be a conflict because I changed the motherboard-- ECS K7s5A to L7S7A?

Heck yes there could be a conflict. You can change parts out and for the most part not have to reinstall windows except for the motherboard. Sometimes you will get lucky and you can just do a repair XP but I recommend doing a fresh install with every new motherboard.
