So I just replaced my dead motherboard and upgraded my cpu and RAM as well.

This is what I have now.

Motherboard - MSI 770-C45

QUOTE : Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600* (OC) SDRAM, 16GB Max

RAM - Patriot DDR3 4gb 1600mhz

And my new CPU is AMD x3 710.

So it looks like my motherboard is capping my ram speed lower than what it is and I would have to go into the bios and change the voltage from 1.5v to 1.9v as well as adjust my timing setting.

The question is, is this dangerous for my hardware and will it create a lot more heat in the case?

As it stands now my temps are pretty decent even with a stock heatsink and fan...I would like to keep it this way. :)

Thanks for any advice.
