Motherboard Question

I'm looking at motherboards right now.
On the Asus Website, it lists the ASUS P4BGL-VM Socket-478 Motherboard as supporting speeds of 1.4GHz ~ 2.4GHz+. So, if i get a 2.53 Ghz chip, will it be suported by this motherboard?

I would check the bios updates first. I would imagine it should support your processor, but i'm not guaranteeing it. Check the bios updates, look for improved processor support. You'll obviously need to upgrade to whatever bios revision supports your processor.
