I know the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe is one of the best if you are overclocking, but which motherboard is best bang-for-buck if not overclocking? (For the E6600 processor)

Also, what RAM should you buy along with the motherboard you recommend, if not overclocking?

(This is the only thing stumping me from getting a new system!)

THE gigabyte 965P DS3 is a much better bang/buck board for overclocking. If you're not overclocking at all then just look at the feature set you want/need then find some boards that fit the bill, then check the motherboard forum for complaints about that motherboard.

Thanks again, Bobthelost. You're apparently the only one wanting to help me around here. ;)

So what do you think of this motherboard and this RAM (the RAM is DDR2 533 1.8v)?

Are they compatible, and a good purchase for the money for a non-overclocker?

Nah, i'm just in the right timezone and bored.

Looks fine to me, but head over to the motherboard forum, there should be a thread on that particular board with all the problems found to date spelled out in excrutiating detail.
