If you want a board with support for both DDR2 and DDR3 go for the Gigabyte P35C-DS3R for $60 less than the ASUS board.

But note that there really isn't much real-world benefit from DDR3 at this point and it is very expensive. $200 for a 2x1GB DDR3-1066 kit is a bit ridiculous when you can get 2x1GB DDR2-1066 kits for as little as $75 (after MIR). Or, better yet, pick up a 2x2GB DDR2-800 kit for <$100 and be ready for a 64-bit OS.
