When i boot the machine the bios starts weirdly

it says

Award Boot Lock Version 1.0

Bios Check Sum Error

Insert system disk etc.

Normally if a cmos battery has run down it will still post but you must run " setup" and reboot

Any Ideas ?

The Board is a tyan trinity i believe model #1854

I tried to boot less the cdrom, floppy and hd and still the same result.
I dont understand why it wont try to post unless the bios is corrupt or something?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried clearing the cmos? Unplug the pc, remove the battery. Move the jumper that clears cmos for 20 seconds or so. It should be labeled clrrtc or something like it. Mine did something similar when we changed cpu's. Clearing cmos fixed it right up. Good Luck.
