Motherboard Problem

Hello I am having problems with a system and am hoping for some help.

System Specs:
MSI K7N2GM2-ILSR
AMD Sempron 2600
512Mb RAM
Onboard VGA

I was imaging a Hard Drive when the screen went black. I decided to restart the computer, but it only emits a slow loud beep?
I checked to find what this beep means but did not find much information. Tried a different VGA card just in case it was the onboard VGA, but did not make a difference. I have just cleared the CMOS via the jumper but still is in the same state.

Any other ideas are welcome.

Can you describe the beeps? Slow loud beeps is not all that helpful (imo).

Are the beeps constant, just 3, doe they last 1 second, .1 seconds (reletavely speaking of course).

Thank you for your reply but I have just found out the problem.

One of the sticks of 256Mb were faulty, so I will get it replaced and then be back to normal.
