I put together a machine a few years ago for a friend using a Soyo 7VCA2 and a P3 700 overclocked to 933. Worked fine until recently. I formatted and installed WinXP and gave it back to him. A few days later, he tried to install the Bellsouth software off of a cd and the machine froze. He reset it and then nothing ever came up again. No beep - No NOTHING. I tried resetting the BIOS and even swapped out the Voodoo 3 with a PCI video card just for kicks. It will not boot. The fans turn on, the hdd spins up, but there is no video and no beep.

Any ideas?

Yep and yep. Thanks though. Any other ideas. Is it reasonable to think that the mobo or cpu would just suddenly nut up and cause this?

I'm thinking motherboard because the ps will start all the fans and hdd/cd-rom. Oh well, I guess stranger things have happened. :frown:

Try to reset cmos - remove the battery for 15min, then put it back in. Resetting cmos - is must-do when having doubts, just to eliminate probable bios fault.
Good Luck!
