While removing CPU cooler accidentally broke CONDUCTIVE POLYMER CHIP CAPACITOR # KO 157 6K 236. It's yellow and square, one side lightly longer than another size 3/8" x 3/16" with short side legs.
Similar like this
https://www.amazon.com/Tantalum-Cap...DUCTIVE+POLYMER+CHIP+CAPACITOR++KO+157+6K+236
It's Dell Precision t3600 Server, chip is located nearby CPU itself.
Couldn't find it even at Ebay. Can i replace it by something similar?
I got similar chip KO 157 6K 527 instead 236. Will it work?
Here is the SPECS in PDF format :http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/718274.pdf
Also http://www.digikey.com/Web Export/Supplier Content/Kemet_399/PDF/Kemet_TantalumSMCap.pdf

From where markings at lower level 512 means
512 = 12th week of 2005 0r 236 = 36th week of 2002
Also Print Week Code: 1st Digit = Year 2nd & 3rd Digits = Week "513" = The 13th week of 2005
KO-KEMET Organic SIMILAR
157- Picofarad Code SIMILAR
6k- (6-Rated Voltage) (k-KEMET ID) SIMILAR

If this is correct then CAPACITORS KO "157 6K 236" and "KO 157 6K 527" are same just manufactured date is different.

Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Looks correct to me.

When you knock a part off, there's a fair chance that it will pull the copper pad off the PCB. If it did, then that will make it more difficult to solder on a new part.

Broke that one too,hard to solder without Rework station, any other matching ones from different manufacturers? I saw other Motherboards with black chip instead yellow but don't know parameters on black.
Any recommendations?
Should this cause BSOD ? I had it almost every day and was blaming everything: SSD, MEMORY, Windows OS, reinstalling it almost every month LOL.
Dell Technician changed Motherboard for me 7 months ago and since it i had Blue Screens and freezes every day.
Locks like he broke it while installing CPU cooler (sits next to CPU coolers screw).
Call to DELL and "0" support LOL.
Now go and buy DELL AGAIN, NEVER EVER DELL.

Can i use Superglue to glue up popped wire?
How to test newly installed capacitor is working and isn't just hanging out by broke wire?
Thanks
