Motherboard or Power Supply Problem?

I have a home brew PC that has a Asus A7N8X 2.0 motherboard (since December 04) and a Antec TruePower 330W PS. I have had a problem the past couple months with it booting up. It will post and so on, but usually the hard drive will keep cycling (hearing that click, the whirr up and down...it then just repeats).

I tried 3 different hard drives and it still occurs in this system. When I tried the same hard drives in another system, they all worked perfectly.

I tried connecting the drives to both IDE connectors as well as all of the power connectors coming from the power supply.

I also have removed all of my PCI cards and currently only have my AGP vidro card (Radeon 9550) so it's a minimal load to the power supply.

I am assuming the processor and ram are fine, which leaves me with the mobo and PS. I have a previous mobo that I can test, but of course it's a pain in the ass to unmount everything from the case and so on. I unfortunately don't have another PS to test at this time.

If anyone has seen a similar problem and can lend some advice I'd appreciat it. Thanks!

Or try swapping the molex power plugs around. ie: your Cd-rom with the HDD etc. Something that was working before with the plug on the unit that is giving the problem. Sometimes those molex plugs are a problem; or the wiring to them.
