Never heard of this MB.

I'm partial to ASUS motherboards, but there a number of good motherboard makers out there to choose from.

Tekram makes good quality products, and their motherboards are pretty good as well. Hence, I believe that the 440LX board you are asking about should be fine. Tekram online store has them cheap, and the board supports FC-PGA celeron all the way up to 766Mhz using a slocket. It also have 75Mhz and 83Mhz bus setting, so you could run them a bit higher although I do not personally recommend using 83Mhz bus.

I would prefer P6L40-A4 version for an additional DIMM slot.

83Mhz gives 41.5Mhz PCI bus speed which I think is a little bit too high for many PCI cards and IDE hard drives.

I used 83Mhz bus a lot in the days of Socket 7 before Super 7 boards came out. During that time, it was the ultimate overclocking to run socket 7 Pentium or K6 on 83Mhz bus. As a result, I have killed a couple of hard drives and a CD-ROM. I think that running your system at such a high PCI bus can cause some damage to some IDE devices like harddrives and CD-ROM in the long run.

WOW!!!!!!That could explain the reason to why I have blown a Hardrive, Motherboard and a cdrom in the pass 2 years while overclocking my celeron 400 @ 500!!!!!
