I have a DFI LAN party UT 250 Gb board. I am currently using the onboard AC 97 sound. My alternative currently is an SB Live 5.1.
1. If I disable the onboard sound through BIOS, do I still need to uninstall the drivers?
2. I understand Doom 3 uses the CPU for sound, not the sound card. Will I see an improvement in performance if I use a sound card instead of the onboard?
