I have a new Intel motherboard but I couldn't get it to boot up... do I have to use DDR memory in pair? because I have only one at this time, when i put the memory in the first slot, no boot, when i put the memory in the second slot, the board beeps, what do you guys think?

You don't have to run DDR in pairs.

Please list complete system specs (board, CPU, PSU, video card). Please list beeps you hear (number and duration, like 2 short 1 long, etc.).

Make sure you have the RAM firmly seated in the slot. Sometimes you have to push in fairly hard.

Is this a new build? If so, it's best to boot up with only a video card in place and add other devices after you have tested the system and installed whatever motherboard resources are found. Technically, you only need a vid card and ram to boot a system - you won't get very far of course, and some boards require the presence of a keyboard to boot, but the point is you need to eliminate variables by booting with a minimal configuration.

I would try booting with just a vid card, RAM, keyboard and mouse. Make sure the vid card is firmly seated in its slot.

If that doesn't help them clear the CMOS and try again with minimal setup described above.
