Anyone know where I can get just the mounting plate and bar for the cards? I don't need the case due to a special need.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. The part that holds the pci/e cards, and the mounting plate for the motherboard.

That acrylic looks real nice but I'm fine with the metal.

thanks a tank,

I don't get it. Do you want the small metal piece that holds the cards together or the whole setup? If it is the metal piece, a machine shop will make it for you if you specify the dimension. You could even do it yourself with a 1/2" wide, 1 feet long aluminum bar with a drill tap. If you're referring to the whole setup, its called a test bench and some manufacturers like Dimastech makes them.

Maybe buy a $20 case and chop at it. I mean your going to need a Dremel, but from dma0991 said, it's most likely your looking for a test bed setup.

Yes the small metal piece that holds the cards together and the mounting plate for the mommyboard. I don't need the whole set. And I know what test bench is...

thanks,

I figured that. I don't want to drilling stuff myself. I'm not a driller. And the space is very limited so I need at least the mommyboard mounting plate.

thanks!

You know what... I do have some wooden plates that are about the size of the mounting plate and are 3 quarter inch thick.... Should I use that instead? I also have some plywood. Good idea? Anyone? :D

Mountain Mods or case lab sells them I think.

You can email them, they're very nice.

pardon my ignorance, but WTF IS THAT!
That's a Miracle Ball by Coconut-Audio. It is resting against the sound card, to suck up electrical noise (RFI / EMI) from component and turn it into heat. That's a $1250 piece but I got it for real cheap.
