The readings on my motherboard monitor are way off!! For instance it says my 12v line is at 11.83V. Well, I opened my case and measured it with my volt meter and it was 12.31 volts! (which makes sense because I've got a pretty light load on my 350 watt power supply)
Sheesh now I don't trust any of my temp readings.....anyone else getting crappy readings from MBM?

What's your BIOS say? I would imagine it's not really MBM, it's whatever MBM uses on your motherboard to measure voltage and such.

when did you test with the volt meter? IE System powered on, same exact conditions as when MBM readings were looked at?

Also, if anything is at fault, its the sensor chip on your mb, be it a winbond chip, or the via 686a/b southbridge.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7ZM. I took the voltage reading while my system was just at idle. Since my MBM takes a reading every 4 secs or so the readings were under the exact same conditions. If I go into the bios after boot the via hardware monitoring utility says 11.88 V on the 12V line. Via monitoring says 33C for the CPU while the MBM says 37C for the CPU when idle. They both say 4.92V on the 5V line but my volt meter indicates 5.10 volts on the 5V line. My volt meter is real accurate too (+/- 0.3%).

I've been having trouble with motherboard monitor also. For some reason it has started giving me strange readings on my fan rpms. Fan1 which is the CPU fan it shows fine. Fan2 doesn't show up at all. Fan3 shows up but shows 0 rpms. I go into the bios and it shows them fine. The temperatures show 2C higher than what the bios shows. I haven't even tried checking the voltages yet.
