MotherBoard Monitor

I'm using MotherBoard Monitor, the lastet / last version, and I'm not sure
if it's showing the correct cpu temp. I have an MSI K8T NEOFISR2 board
that has the CoreCell program and it is showing a 4 degree higher
cpu temp than MBM. When I check the temp in the bios it is the same as
CoreCell. Is there any other free programs out there someone can recommend
useing as a test to get an idea of wich temp is correct. The case temp
reading on both is identical and matchs the temp in the bios.

The temp sensors are highly inaccurate, they give you a general idea if your system/cpu is too hot. Due to some tests ive done with some identical systems under the same load ive found that temp readings are incorrect by approx +/- 10%, but thats my conclusion...

What I have found is that say you have 6 different temp programs.
And 3 out of the 6 are at the exact same temp usually those 3 are correct.
Yet now somebody will post telling me I am wrong etc.,..etc...

I said what I have found to be the case....

Somebody else may have had a completely opposite experience!!

So what can I use to give me something accurate to gage from. Are there any other programs I can try. If not
how do I go about finding out what the temps really are.

There is always Speedfan.....I believe Sisoft Sandra and Everset Home Edition show temps too but I haven't really used those much before.

When you design a program to use the readings from different Mobo/BIOS/CPU/etc. combos, there will always be some readings that are off, and some might be dead on. Not every program code can utilize the info sent from such a wide varity of combos.
There are a few free ones to choose from:
SiSoft Sandra

Lavalays Everest

PC Wizard

SpeedFan
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=893
MotherBoard Monitor
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=204
And for Gfx card temp and ambient temp:
RivaTuner
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163
Riva has the most accurate case temp of all these, in my set up.

I've found that both Everest and Sandra give some readings correctly, while others are off, but they are on different sensors, so between the two, I can get semi-accurate results.
Sandra: two fans are mislabeled, while one of those shows 6100+rpm, when it's really 2800
Everest: two temp sensors are switched, and constantly +4'C from what BIOS shows
SpeedFan nor MBM has never been close with this combo I run.

Good luck

Thank's for info and links. I use PC WIZZARD and it shows the same cpu temp
as Motherboard Monitor. I'll try one of the others.
