Motherboard Monitor 5: CPU cooler than case?

Just upgraded from MBM 4 to 5 and noticed that my cpu is running 8C lowwer than the case. This is much different than MBM 4 reported. Right now my cpu is at 21C and the case is at 30C. With MBM 4, both temps were usually around 30C.

Can the cpu run that much cooler than the case? Is it possible for the cpu to even run cooler than the case? It doesn't make sense to me. Is MBM 5 junk?

Thanks,

LJ

I am in the same boat as you Larryjoe. I have noticed this on MB 5.0 also. I am not sure if I have the Winbond sensors configured right with MB 5.0 I am using Winbond 1 for the case monitor and Winbond 2 p2 diode for the cpu monitor. Can anybody offer up any better settings.

Well if it is correct, then my cpu is running real cool at 20C-22C. I did just format the hard drive:(, so maybe it is running cooler. First reinstall in over a year, has to be a record for me. Memory was leaking all over the place.

I really doubt yor cpu is running that cool but since your butt deep in snow right now on the East Coast is guess it may be possible.
