I've been trying to get 4 gigs of this memory to run at 1066 in this MB for 2 days with BIOS settings I've collected from Gigabyte and OCZ forums. I'm hoping to get any final observations/recommendations from the experts here to finalize this. The latest testing I've done is to experiment with different memory straps and multipliers with the CPU running at 9.5 X 400, or 3.8, for a rather modest OC. Here are the results.
1. Post and run OK with both sticks of memory, speed set to 800. (400 strap X 2.0),
2. Post and run OK with both sticks of memory, speed set to 960 (333 strap X 2.4).
3. Post and load XP fine with both sticks running at 1000 (266 strap X 2.5) but THERE WAS NO VIDEO at this setting.( I heard WIN load.)
4. No post with 2 sticks at 1066.....each will post at 1066 individually but not when inserted together.
I've lost video off and on while testing memory settings and have no idea why the RAM tests should impact the video signal. Would someone please clue me in about this?
OCZ support said there's no gain going over the 2.1v that I've got the memory set at. I've not ever increased the vCore, which is set to 1.25. Would this accomplish anything? OCZ has OK'd an RMA on the memory but I'm not sure the memory is the problem. Both sticks have passed quick runs of Memtest besides posting individually. So, is there anything else to do here? Thanks.
