Motherboard light goes on but PC doesn't boot

did u just put together the pc? or was it fine before?

Make sure the 4 pin connector is plugged in on the mobo.

could be bad ram or a bad cpu. try using the ram in a different computer.

if you've checked all your connections, try clearing the cmos. also make sure that you haven't got jumpers set for the wrong FSB speed (on the off chance the motherboard uses jumpers for this)
