motherboard led always on

i have a soyo dragon kt333 pe....when i shutdown my computer the led on the mobo stays on, also the led in the mouse stays on as well. is this normal? if its not then whats wrong? tia

nothing.

ATX standard says that power always trickles to the board even when powered down.

If you want the led to go out, unplug the computer.

my mother board light stays on when i shut down but other wise it's kewl
albatron kt 400 pro
amd 2400+xp...stock setttings
extasy 4200 gefarce 128meg...stock settings
muskin 3200 ddr 400 mm...set at 333...on 2.5 x 133
10500 3d mark ...

Your mouse is staying on because you got "keyboard power up" (or whatever Soyo calls it) enabled.

I downloaded the manual and it looks like you can either turn it off in the BIOS. Go to Power Management Setup and look for "IRQ Event Activity Detect" and disable it. That should keep power from being applied to your PS2 ports when the computer is shut down.

The MoBo LED stays on normally.
