Hello all, I'm not that technically inclined so I hope I can explain this properly.
Well, I put my motherboard into a new case, hooked up the power cable, ram, cpu, and video card. As soon as I hit the switch, there was a spark and a little bit of smoke coming out. I'm not sure exactly where it was coming from, but it was around where the power connector is. Well, I took out the motherboard too look and see what's wrong. One of the lines around the power connector looked burnt, so I touched it, and it came off a bit. When I say lines, I mean one of the brown/yellow/gold/ lines that I think does the conducting (I told you I wasn't technically inclined 🙂) I was wondering what it could be that caused the problem, and if there's any way to fix it. I've heard of a conductive pen or something like that but I'm not sure. Would that fix, and if so, where can I get one? My motherboard is a bx6 v.2 with celeron 300a, the video card is an original radeon ddr, and ram is infineon pc133 256mb. It all worked fine in my old case, but as soon as I moved it to a new case, problems arose. If somebody could help me out, it would be greatly apprecieated.
