I have a friend who is looking to build a PIII system, he would like built-in sound and video. I can find many board with these but he also would like to put 2 HD's, CD-RW, CD, and a Superdisk Drive, 5 devices, so the board also needs either (1) build-in raid or (2) a second controller card, any ideas anyone???

Thanks for your time,

No one I can find makes this combination.
The closest is a abit sa6r. It has everything but built in video.

He'll either need a i810 chipset board or an early i815 chipset board. Both have video & sound on-board. He'll also need to pick up a controller card for that 5th IDE drive (unless he went external with one of the devices). An ATA-66 controller card can be picked up for under $30 now. If he wants the option of putting in a good video card in the future, then an i815 board is a must (has an AGP slot). If he has no future intention of putting in a good AGP video card, get an i180e based board. JustDeals.com has an Abit i810e board for $50 and a Tyan i810e board for $60 (+shipping).

I'm thinking SIS chipset like ASUS CUSI-M have built-in sound and video (share with memory).
