In a few weeks i am going to start to build a computer. It will be used highly for games. There are some issues on compatibility that i need cleared up. Is the Epox EP-8KTA3 compatible with a voodoo 5 video card? I am probably going to purchase a 900Mhz Thunderbird processor. Is this processor fast enough to run games like Halflife smoothly.

uh.. YES. 900 mhz with a Voodoo 5.. Half LIfe..

Well my 2nd box is a 500mhz K6 with a VooDoo 3 and it runs halflife VERY smooth.
You will run Unreal Tournament very smooth quake 3 ... whatever is currently out.
Despite what people say.. I like the VooDoo 5.. TOO BAD TDFX went out of business..

now its Nvidia all the way.....

you will run anything smoothly but with the new games coming out you will have some problems. The voodoo5 will not have any drivers released taht will configure it to run well with the next generation of games. If you are paying 115 for the voodoo5 you could get a geforce2 gts for 135 (low end). just a thought
