Can someone indicate wetehr this board will work with this card - i dont know enough about PCI express to guess which slot it will go in

That board supports AGP video. No PCI-e slot. If you want PCI-e right now it's going to have to be an Intel board. AMD boards will have them with the NForce4 and whatever VIA's new chipset it.
