I have an Abit NF7-s Motherboard and I installed Windows XP, Is there a reason why it is not recognizing my motherboards onboard Ethernet?
This is teh first time I have ever built a system so There may be something I left out that seems obvilus to most but not to me

any help is appreciated... thanks

The motherboard should have come with a CD with drivers for the ethernet. Right now if you look in hardware devices there is probably an entry for "unknown device" with a yellow triangle, that needs you to update drivers to the ones on the CD.

Your motherboard manual or PDF file (which is freindly) should also have instructions on installing the drivers.

Ok Now it says Networking cable unplugged so its regognized...
But when I try to install my software for Eathlink (Cable) It says something about making sure the modem is installed correctly
It should be i just take the plug out of the computer that is online and plug it into thenew one, nothing changed, even wehn i plug it back it works fine

any suggestionsplease
