guys i m a 3d rendering artist.
i have got a serious issue to tackle..while rendering my 3d scene my mother board (K9A2VM (MS-7501) heats up to 70 degrees..
and my cpu (AMD Phenom II X2 550) reaches 68 degrees...can there be a problem with the thermal paste or my cpu fan...??
i usually keep my cabinet walls open so that the cpu doesnt get suffocated..
kindly suggest me something

What kind of case is it?
What are the other components being used (GPU, PSU)
What's the ambient temp in the room?
Where is the case kept?

Okay,, 68c for a mobo is too high. It is going to die soon at this rate but theres help on the way.

Open your side case, put a house fan against the mobo. That should get you to 40's c which is still high but perfectly fine and will live long life. gl

its a zebronics cabinet,9500 n vidia display card, normal room temp is arnd 30 to 32degrees..the case is kept on top of the table and the cabinet wall is kept open so that enuff air circulation is there for the parts..
please note that this happens only wen machine is put for rendering..other wise temp floats around 50 degrees....
please suggest

Room temperature is fairly warm but you shouldn't need to take the side panel off or do anything special.

Make sure all fans (CPU\PSU\Case fans) are installed properly and working.

Unless you plan on buying a new PC soon, set aside a day and take it out of the case.
Take off cpu cooler and chipset heatsinks. Clean surfaces and apply fresh thermal paste. Make sure when you reassemble everything is secure. Also check cable\wire routing.

If after reassembly you still have temp issues you could potentially have a voltage issue.

You def want a fan blowing at the motherboard / RAM ... gl

If you look at my DAW Studio pic you will see there is a 120mm @ 1300rpm standing on top of my video card cooling the NB and RAM since 2007. Take a close look its see through. But you must leave case open or else its just gonna blow hot air inside your case. Of course your room should be 74F at most especially in these times 100 degree weather and what not. Nothing will happen to video card trust me. But as long as there are no metal parts your safe. That fan brings down NB about 15c or more plus cools your ram.
