I'm having a bit of a problem trying to transfer all my hardware to my new case. I plugged everything in, and it wouldn't turn on. I started unplugging things to no avail. I brought out a spare power supply, thinking maybe that was the problem. Still no go. I unplug some more things, and than all of a sudden it works. I start plugging things in one at a time, turning it on each time just to make sure. Then all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore, and now, as soon as I connect the power supply to the motherboard, it makes a really high pitched humming noise. Is my MB fried?

Did you get one of those $10 530 watt power supplies?

What brand/ type did you get for power?

no its the Antec TruePower 380w that comes with the antec sonata

Well, here's some more to add. I disconnected everything but the cpu and one of the case fans, and something awkward happens when I plug in the power supply. Around halfway down, the motherboard turns on for a split second, the fan spins a couple of times the motherboard temp reader says FF, then it dies and the loud humming noise starts. Is this definitely a fried motherboard?
