I refreshed multiple times, let it try to load for 30+ minutes but still........... I cannot post a "new" message in that forum because the Gigabyte ad never seems to finish loading. I've tried for days but still cannot post! It just hangs and tries to finish.

PS: I have no problem posting a new message in any other forum here and my rig is updated with the latest everyting, etc, etc, etc........

Nice........ Your Baby link is a no go. Fix it! This is the correct link:
My Baby

My Intel pc is greater than your AMD pc. You posted why?
Why don't you guys try to fix problems instead of trying to raise your damn post count?

Just an poor attempt at humor. :) As for an inflated post count... I don't think so. I have never posted in P&N or OT. I have posted once in FS/FT and it wasn't to ":bump:" my thread. As for my link not working, it was once a working link but somehow has corrupted on it's own. I just finished upgrading to an X2 4400+ on Friday, but if you upgrade to a Conroe then you can still hold the "My pc rulez" crown for another day. :p

Alright, I actually went and looked at your issue instead of making fun of your "intel inside". Firefox w/adblock solves that problem. I also tried using IE and saw the offending ad and it does indeed "hang", but when I clicked on "new post" a new window appeared. Not sure what would happen if I started a thread, but I was able to bring up another window while the Gigabyte ad was still hanging.

Well, other members are making new threads, so the problem isn't universal. You might actually have to provide some information about your setup for anyone to help you.

Must be that all the ones who can post don't have rigs updated with the latest everything. :)

Info of my setup that's not listed in My Rig that may have something to do with the problem:
Win 2000
IE6 (up to date)
Norton Internet Security 2005
AdAware Plus

Open hosts.ini and add the following entry: ??
What is this, where can it be found and how to go about doing this? I don't like going into anything and editing. Nothing usually goes wrong with the rigs I build and I like it that way. All my friends mess with editing (sys, ini, etc) files on their computers' and they always end up having problems. Who fixes them? ME!!

Yea', it won't let me add "New Topic" at all until the page finishes loading which is never.
Thanks for the feedback so far. If I can do without the editing that would be great, since I have "ZERO" problems in any other forum here at Anandtech.

I don't really have to post in the MB forum for about another 2-4 mths. That's when I'll need all the info I can aquire about a motherboard for a 6600. It may be fixed by then

Sometime I like seeing the ads and actually bought from 1 recently......... The Patriot 512mb sd memory card for .99cents :)

What I'm saying is that it should'nt be necessary to "EDIT" anything.

Would you like some cheese with your whine? Or how about all the internets handed to you on a silver platter?

I hate our crappy search, but I know it's pointless to post and moan about it, I just move on. Nothing's perfect, certainly not this website.

**LOL**

I suppose so. It's not that hard to read into a sentence. It's not like you're a pure innocent in your post before last directed at me.

Done talking with you as it would be fairly easy to chat like this all day, but I'd like someone directly tied with Anandtech to address the problem. Like I said, there should be no need to "EDIT" anything as it seems like it only has to do with the one Gigabyte ad. No problems in any other forum ;)

As for the Silver Platter? I prefer Titanium as a commodity ;) One heavy Platter!
