I don't post here often but I do trust the information here. It has helped me in the past. I posted this to General Hardware then my brain kicked in and I realized I should have posted it here.

I'm pretty new to this tech stuff but I'm learning. I looked around the net after my business partner had a computer built with an ASUS A8N-VM and I found this motherboard. It "seems" to have everything the ASUS has, but with 5 PCI slots. I just can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone know anything? If not, what is a good, stable 939 motherboard board for use with a 64 or 128MB AGP video card? It will work with a 939 AMD 3000+ Venice core. That's about as technical as I can get. No games, no overclocking. Just internet, MS Office and Win XP PRO.

Thank you very much

You have very modest requirements so probably any board with an AGP slot for socket 939 would suffice, so I'd recommend you not get too attached to finding that one mystery board.

BTW, that Asus board is a mATX Geforce6100 board. It should be a good choice for an office machine. It is PCIe instead of AGP, but the integrated video performance may suprise you. Was there a reason you needed 5 PCI slots? If you absolutely need 5 PCI slots with AGP for socket 939, look for boards with the Nforce3 chipset or VIA K8T800 Pro chipset.

Thank you for replying. The only reason I looked at 5 PCI slots is that my current motherboard only has 3 slots and they are all taken. My current is a 1 gig Intel and pretty limited. I didn't want to get into that situation again.

Thanks for the clue to look for Nforce 3 or VIA K8T800 Pro. I know enough to look and read, IF I know what to look for. You have helped more than you know.

Again, thank you and Happy Thanksgiving
