i'm getting ready to build a P4, 1.7gig system for someone and would like some advice on which mobo's are decent, which ones to stay away from, which are the best, etc.

i usually stick with abit, but the last set of boards i purchased from them have all ended up with problems, and i cant get any decent support from them (i emailed them 6 weeks ago on an issue and STILL have not heard back).

feel free to prv msg me or email.

thanks for the advice!

Probably the best to go with is the ASUS P4T...

If you can wait, there is the coming P4T-F, which is a redesigned version of the P4T, featuring a 4 layer PCB, and should be MUCH cheaper than the P4T.

I recommend against waiting for the Brookdale i845 based P4B, since the Pentium 4 would be hurt badly by putting it with SDRAM.
