Hi all,

Any suggestions for a good linux-compatable motherboard? I've about had it with Nvidia NF4 and 6150 boards. I have managed to get them both (mostly) working in linux -- usually a couple weeks after buying them because either nvidia's drivers are unstable or the bios has a problem. When it comes down to it, I just don't trust nvidia's linux drivers. I used their video drivers a couple years back, and they would make a perfectly stable system randomly crash a couple times a week. Maybe they're better now...

Does anyone know how the new ULi chipsets work in linux? Any other suggestions?
(for AMD dual core processor)

thanks,

My son uses the Asrock 939 Dual-SATA2 with the ULI M1695 chipset. Runs perfectly stable under Suse 9.3.
I myself have an Nvidia based board and use their video drivers with Linux and have never had a stability issue.
