MotherBoard for Gateway 556ge

My daughter has a Gateway 556GE. The motherboard has died and their money is tight. What mother board can I get to fix it? It has a Pentium 4 630 processor with hyper threading.

you'll most likely have to contact Gateway.... as my understanding from past years is that Gateway and Dell had special sized boards (form factors).. and you couldn't just pop in an ATX or Micro ATX board...

plus.. if you just replace with the same board.. you won't have to deal with any reinstall of windows, chipset drivers, etc....

Go to pricewatch in the motherboards section under Gateway. There are alot of listings. You should find one that will work for around $50. Be sure to get the right form factor for your gateway case. If you see the ports on the left side of the photo at pricewatch, it means the board is a btx form factor for btx cases only. If the ports are on the right side, then it's atx.
