Motherboard for e6700

I need help finding the best mobo for an e6700 around 200 dollars that will work well with Vista. I do graphic design, video editing, and gaming. The reason why I'm asking is because everything i find for mobo selection is from January, and its almost June, so I'm just looking for the best option now.

Thanks for all your help.

If you want to upgrade later to Intel's penryn cpus (.45 nm), then you'll have to wait for more p35 chipset releases. The current boards are too expensive, but cheaper versions will be out very soon. If you don't want to wait, then the gigabyte 965pe ds3 ($100 at newegg) is still a good choice. Another option is that evga is giving away a free motherboard with the purchase of the evga 8800gts video card. The chipset is the 680i, and it should be on their website.

Will you be doing any overclocking?

You should look into the P35 series which just came out las week.

The Asus P5K Deluxe is a great board but it costs $240 or so.

There is also a plain P5K board which should cost about $150 or less.

No overclocking / or mild overclocking = Go with the P5K

Heavy overclocking = Go with the P5K Deluxe
