Motherboard for core 2 duo mobile processor

Hi guys,

I have an infamous HP DV9550 laptop that now finally gave in (GF graphics). I have working parts that I'm looking to salvage for a htpc built, namely:

-Core 2 Duo T7300 processor (4M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
-4Gb DDR2 Sodimm
-2x 160Gb sata hdd

Does anyone know of mini-itx or micro-atx motherboard where I could plug at least the processor in? A mini-itx board with sodimm would be preferred. I tried to look, but did not find anything usefull.

Thanks in advance for your input!

They aren't cheap, and are designed for industrial uses. For the $200 I'd rather just sell off the CPU (fetches around $30 on eBay) and ram (fetches around $40 on eBay) and use the proceeds plus the $200 you would have spent on the industrial board to buy the cheapest Core i3 with mini ITX motherboard and desktop RAM. You'll actually get better performance, both CPU and graphics.

Thanks Zap,

At least I know now what I'm looking for. Now off to ebay etc looking for used boards with GME965 chipset. IF not, anyone needing a T7300 upgrade can contact me 😛

Acer made some mac mini sized barebones that use intel mobile processors, Newegg still carries them, but I don't know if they take a T7300.

I think they still have them....But they are $300 plus

I was gonna respond to the OP but I think Zap is dead on anyways.

Only other option would be ebay or craigslist for a cheap MB

There is a Zotac board that takes the mobile chips, I forget the exact model but the egg carried them up until last month.

Edit: Correction, it is a JetWay JNC64-LF Socket P NVIDIA MCP79MH.
