motherboard for 478 Northwood

Hi Everyone,

I want to upgrade from my current system (SFF Shuttle). All I need is a new case and mobo. I already have a case picked out, but need advice on a mobo. MY CPU is a P4 Northwood 2.66GHz Socket 478. Mobo should support AGP and SATA. I'd prefer an Intel chipset, but other than that I'm open.

You want a board with 875P or 865PE chipset. I prefer Asus boards but you may want to read reviews and see what you like.

I've always had good luck with "Abit" and "Asus" motherboards.

My son built a machine last year by using an Abit IS7 motherboard ( 865PE ) and he hasn't experienced any problems.

I think I am going to buy the Asus P4P800 SE motherboard ( 865 PE ) next week
