Motherboard error beep codes

I have an emachines (i know el cheapo) t2240 desktop computer that I am trying to replace the cpu from a celeron 2.2 to a p4 2.4a.
It will not boot up with the diferent chi in it. It gives me a beep code on POSTing of 1 long beep, 3 short, 3 short, 1 long. Then sits idle until i power it off.
I put the celeron back and it booted up fine. Does anyone know what the beep code means, or can they tell me where to find it? I have spent a couple of days searching with no luck.

i checked its seating properly, and other components also. no luck.

thanks for your help. its up and running now. had to pull my 128mb mem stick. got a 512 in there.
