If any of you remember me from my many posts on harddrive prolems, that's over, I paid a guy to fix it. Now I'm plagued with more problems. I try to install the driver CD for the motherboard with the VIA drivers. It says there's a registry error. Can I get these off the 'net just as well? or is there something I can do to make it work? And I reinstalled the CD drivers, so I don't thinks that's a prob. Thanks for any replys.

It usually reports a registry error because it checks HKEY\Local_Machine\Enum and doesn't find a VIA ide controller and two child devices already in place.

If there aren't any in the device manager, and they are enabled in the bios, check in safe mode, remove them and see if it redetects them properly in normal mode.
