No beeping sound when it powers up...fans work, dvd's acknowledge the power hit (lights come on)

As this system was put together back in 04 I am not sure as to what way to go insofar as the rest of the components are concerned. The board supports AGP and I am undecided as to whether I should dump the video card and the ram....maybe get something newer or try and find something that would work with the same components (if there is a board that still exists).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try a different power supply first. Even good ones fail. Finally found an agp 939 board at xpcgear. It's an asus a8v-x for $100. Pcplanet has an asrock dual vsta with agp or pci-e slots for $100. Ebay has my board, the asrock dual sata II for $62 plus shipping new. I have 2 of them.
