Motherboard decisions, overclocking ram

OK, I found out that 939 boards and cpu's are getting dirt cheap now. $70 chaintech 939 board, $135 oem 3000+ 939 processer, and 512 megs of ddr400 ram is $52! holy sh**! but I want to know. should I go for PCI-E..or AGP 8x motherboard? does AGP still have life in it? I want it to last until atleast 2007. 8, but thats probably pushing it. the problem with PCI-E motherboards if i need a PCI-E videocard..and I like my geforce 6800..
