Motherboard/DDR3 configuration

Alright, long story short. I bought a mobo/cpu/ddr combo on the forums. Mobo had problems, I sent mobo/cpu back. He let me keep the OCZ DDR pc1600 triple channel 3x2GB.

I picked up the following off the forums:

msi Z77a-G45
2600K
212+ CM HS/F

My concern... I'm ok with running things stock for now. I would like to push it to 4.0ghz soon but can I use all 6GB and everything work correctly? Or should I just run 2x2GB in the mobo(I assume that will make it run dual-channel). Should I just pick up new ram all together? I wanted to get by using the free ram I acquired for now until I get snag some cheap DDR3(prices sure are high ATM).

:beer;

but it won't run triple channel since i only have 4x memory slots.

will it still run at maximum speed is what i'm asking if i have 3/4 slots filled.
need some elaboration, por favor.

It will run fine. The CPU's speed will not be limited by the RAM, either. Accessing the "top" 1/3 of RAM will act like single-channel, while the "bottom" 2/3 will act like dual-channel.
