Motherboard-controlled RAID question

I'm not very sure about how the internals of NCQ work, although I've read some specifications and other random docs. Say that I have an A8N-SLI motherboard and I decide to use two NCQ-enabled drives with the nForce4 RAID 0 controller, is this throwing the benefits of NCQ out the window (or minimizing them)?

In advance, I must warn that any fool that posts idiotic comments such as "Anand lal Shimpi says RAID 0 isn't cool" will get nothing but a rude reply. I'm just asking about NCQ support, not advice on when RAID is useful, a topic about which I know a lot more than most people.

Sorry, no... I would *think* that NCQ would still be enabled at the individual drive level, regardless of what kind of RAID you have set up -- but it's up to the controller.

I would email ASUS and/or NVIDIA and ask. Or try over at StorageReview.com's forums?
