I'm putting my first computer together myself so I'm a bit out of my element ;). I have an ASUS P4B533-V. Does anyone know if there is an "up-to-date" reference anywhere? I have two problems (atm anyway). First, the connectors on the computer aren't all labeled the same as the books that came with the board. I checked the ASUS site and downloaded their PDF but it's the same as the book. On my board, I have:

1) Keyboard Lock
2) Power LED
3) Speaker Connector
4) Message LED
5) SMI Lead
6) Reset SW
7) ATX Power Switch

The connectors from my case are:
1) Power LED
2) DC. SW
3) Speaker
4) H.D.D. LED
5) Reset SW

Connectors 1, 3 and 5 are obvious but where do 2 and 4 go?

Second issue, how do I know which which side of the connectors go on the ground pins?

Thanks

If you don't have connectors on you case, there's nothing you can do. You don't really need to connect the LEDs.

As for question 2 - the only way I know is trial and error. I try making sure the writing all faces the same way on the connectors. If that doesn't work, I reverse them all and it works!

# 4 HD LED....look at manual again...you'll see that the HD LED has its own little area right above where your other case connectors are plugged...its a 2-pin connector ....as for #2 DC SW, gotta be atx power switch.
as for 2nd. question...yeah trial and error baby....like zoinks says.
